passed it this morning
and who says you need to practise/revise? pshaw! OK, so i spent last night doing some frantic testing with the S.O. until things got to the book-throwing stage when a night was called by all.
Saw the aussie pink floyd show the other week. trés excellent. Although i recon one or two of the group are starting to get a little cocky (i dislike the most recent version of the Comfortably Numb guitar solo which doesn't sound IMO anything like what gilmour/waters intended).
i watched He Got Game on dvd yesterday morning. Not that it's saying much, but for Spike Lee it was much better than i expected. Denzel Washington puts in a performance of some grit - which is more than can be said for American gangster.
everything else is tickety boo really, all things considered. I've only got parking to conquer then i can book my practical driving test and at some point i will get the S.O. to pay me back all the money she owes me (the total went up by another £200 this month due to some insurance shenanigans).
I've given up on her diet. We went to the beach yesterday where she got upset at all the hot women around who i was apparently looking at. Probably didn't help that after losing 10lbs in 3 weeks she put 7 back on. She's always going on about weight and food, and i've finally snapped. She's got plenty of friends she can talk to about it, i've tried to be supportive but now enough's enough. I'd rather talk about other things beside food and her little brother (i notice she always tells me about something he's done or said whenever i see her, which is daily, no matter how trivial). The 3 pictures of her and him in her room also seem a little Mrs Bates-esque. The kid's 7, almost 8, selfish greedy little bastard who's constantly eating everything in sight, the rudest person i know. But i can't say any of this cos it'll just cause an argument. Can't wait for him to hit 13, then she'll see what a little twat he is.
Not sure if Turkey is still the holiday destination of choice - i think we're now going to wait and get the best last minute deal we can. I dont wanna go to France though.
And er, yeah, suicidal birds. Has anyone else noticed that the birds - all of them - at about 6am have a deathwish. They just fly right out in front of the car at the very last second. I saw one get hit by a rover t'other day, which i thought was funny (it looked a bit like this)
