Caprice's ex, and a funny trip...and annoying managers

by IronicFilmReference @ Sunday, Apr. 23, 2006 - 17:48:05

Today i 'worked' as i do every Sunday, stretching that term to its loosest possible meaning.

Woke up with the radio at some time around 6am, got up got dressed went to work to start at 7am. First good news: Stuart, the jumped up Hitler of a store manager wasn't in today. So i had 2 cups of coffee whilst i worked. We had Wave FM on the radio and they played New Order, which was great, and the "Lauderette Song" by Belle and Sebastian, which we like. And there was some Boyz 2 Men as well.

Later in the day, Caprice's ex came in. The last tie he was in he was with a stunning brunette. Well, today he had a stunning blonde. After much close inspection we decided it was not Caprice but a look-a-like so perhaps he hasn't moved on well. Either way this guy goes out with some rediculously attractive women.

Then a woman turns to walk down an aisle and trips over thin air, not quite hitting the deck but almost. On seeing this me and a colleague went into hysterics because our job is boring and we see that as a highlight. Anyway, we were still laughing when she walked passed us and, rather embarassed i suspect, said "you weren't supposed to see that".

And then there's Tim. Another manager we hate who has decided we need to stay on an extra half hour on Sundays. Why he thinks this I dont know because we always finish our jobs early.

Tim, by the way, is also well known around the store because he was caught in his office receiving oral pleasure from a member of staff who was not his wife.

Tonight, i'm not sure whether i should buy a crate of beer to drink whilst watching a film or not. If i do buy a crate it is likely i'll drink half tonight and feel horrible tomorrow morning, but i find films almost always improve with the imbibing of copious amounts of alcohol.

I don't suppose you've ever seen a film called 'Clerks'?
